After a minute, it needs to be rinsed away and followed with a conditioner. As it is not mentioned anywhere on the site or packaging that the product is sulphate free, I guess it is present in some form. Usually this shampoo foams up really well and also washes up any regular hair oil in one wash itself. Only when hair is heavily oiled, it might need around 2 washes. The fragrance does not linger post use.

I found the performance of this Ved Rasaa Kesa Marjana Shampoo to be pretty average. As a basic shampoo, it cleanses, kicks out dirt and grime but does not target any specific issue whether hair fall or dandruff. Many brands consider sulphates in shampoo as essential. Also they tag the formulation as natural and free from harmful chemicals. Due to similar reason it is difficult to understand whether this shampoo is sulphate or paraben free or not.

In other words this shampoo does not have anything to offer apart from just cleansing. It neither hydrates the hair nor control the excessive oils of scalp. In fact in absence of conditioner it makes hair as dry and frizzy as before. Also Ved Rasaa Kesa Marjana Shampoo does not strengthen hair as such, the number of strands lost remains the same.
