Valentine’s Day Makeup Idea

Love is in the air!! This Sunday we are celebrating the biggest day (and night) of love – ‘Valentine’s Day’ 🙂 Many of us have planned a lot of things for that special day with our special someone. Valentine’s Day is all about love, happiness, togetherness – a feel-good atmosphere all around. And Valentine’s Day makeup has a significant role to play here! Because, when you look good, you feel good and specially when He goes ‘WOW’..well that just doubles up the joy 🙂 Plus one or not, Valentine’s Day is a wonderful excuse to look fabulous. So whether you have a date planned on this Valentine’s Day or spending time with your friends, make sure you look amazing and feel fantastic. Eye Makeup

Nothing can be more dramatic than long, dramatic lashes. So reach out for your eyelash curler and start curling your lashes from the base, slowly working your way down the lashes while squeezing them in intervals for 2-3 seconds. Go for champagne gold, soft pink or bronze eye shadow on the lid. Instead of black kohl, use a brown eye pencil on both the lash lines. Finish off with mascara (2-3 sweepes). Don’t forget to groom your brows as well.

Face Makeup

A beautifully radiant, glowing face is perfect for Valentine’s day. Apply highlighter or add a bit of illuminator with your moisturizer or foundation for that lit-from-within glow on the face. Don’t skip your sunblock if you are going out during the day. Use rosy pink blush (for fair skin tones) or deep corals (for dusky skin tone) for a beautiful and healthy flush on the cheeks. Don’t use shimmers during daytime.

For evening date, apply soft bronzer to the cheeks and accentuate your jawline. Make sure you use a matte bronzer and not a shimmer finish bronzer to contour.

Lip Makeup

Soft, plump, kiss ready lips and V-Day goes hand in hand, right? 😉 So start with exfoliating your lips using a homemade lip scrub or a with a soft toothbrush dipped in warm water. Follow up with a moisturizing lip balm. For day time, go for soft, sensuous lips. Use a neutral lip pencil like beige, pink, peach or coral (depending on what goes well with your outfit) to fill in your lips completely. This will give a soft tint to the lips. Finish the look with a tinted, long lasting lip gloss.

Evening dates call for bold lip makeup. Apply creamy lipstick. Wear red, because this is the best day to go with classic red lips. Or else choose pinks or deep berries.

Leave your hair open with good, bouncy curls especially if you have long hair. Curls looks always great and adds a romantic charm to the look. Or simply blow dry for a soft day time look. For a sharp look, opt for neat ponytail. A low messy bun with a glamorous dress will give a sensuous look.

Your V-Day makeup can never be complete without a sexy smelling fragrance. Spritz your favorite fragrance onto your wrists, your inner elbows, behind the ears and behind your knees. This is the simplest way to feel ultra sensuous 🙂

Silky Soft Skin

Wearing a short dress on this Valentine’s day? Well, then an incredibly soft and smooth skin is what you are looking for. Use a moisturizing body scrub to remove the dead skin cells. And just before you step out of the shower, apply baby oil and rinse off with water. You will be amazed at how silky soft your skin feels to touch and you are ready to flaunt those sexy legs in a cute, little dress.
