Skin Tightening Face Packs at Home

With time and age, our skin starts to lose its elasticity. Skin appears loose and saggy. Sagging facial skin makes us look older than our age and unattractive and it takes away our confidence. There can be various reasons for which skin loses its elasticity, like sun exposure, air pollution or aging. But whatever the reason may be, we just don’t want to embarrass ourselves with loose sagging skin.To avoid this, we all must start to take precautions from an early age, because if we start early, chances are that our skin would remain firm for a longer period of time. And guess what, we can take care of our skin that has begun to sag with some very common kitchen ingredient. Skin tightening face packs, if used on regular basis can be immensely effective. In this article, I am going to share some Skin Tightening Face Packs at Home, made of very easily available natural ingredients.

Egg white and yogurt face pack to tighten skin

Ingredients: Egg white, plain yogurt and sugar

Crack open the egg in a bowl and carefully separate the egg white from the yolk. Add 1 tbsp of plain yogurt and ½ tbsp of sugar granules to the egg white and blend it thoroughly. Apply the pack on your face and wait till dries. Rinse with lukewarm water. Egg is the most common and effective ingredient for skin tightening. Apart from deep cleansing, yogurt reduces blemishes and sugar, being a natural exfoliator, removes the dead skin cells and cleanses the skin well. Sugar also moisturizes the skin and fights against early aging signs.

Papaya and rice flour face pack to tighten skin

Ingredients: Papaya, rice flour, honey

Take few slices of ripe papaya and mash them. Now take 1 tbsp of this mashed papaya and add ½ tbsp of rice flour and ½ tbsp of honey and combine all three. Let this pack stay on your face for 15-20 minutes and wash off. The Vitamin C present in papaya rejuvenates skin and prevent from further aging. Papaya also minimizes skin pores and prevents attack of skin damaging free radicals. Papaya has anti oxidant properties that enhance skin tone and remove dead cells. Rice flour acts as a dead skin cell remover and skin cleanser whereas natural anti oxidants in honey make skin fresh and glowing.

Milk and Oats face pack to tighten skin

Ingredients: Milk, oats, vegetable oil, honey

Break down the bigger oats in smaller particles in a mixer. It’s even better if you grind the oats together to powdery form. Now take 2 tbsp of oats powder and add milk, a few drops of vegetable oil and 1 tsp of honey to make it a thick paste. Lightly apply this pack on the face and wait for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water. This pack will make your skin smooth, radiant and tightened. It will also reduce the pore size.

Potato and Olive oil pack to tighten skin

Ingredients: Potato, olive oil

Peel one potato and grind in a blender. The potato should be in puree form. Now add few drops of olive oil and make a paste. Now apply this pack on the face and wait for 20 minutes. Wash off. The starch, which is present in potato, will help to tighten the skin.

Cabbage and egg white face pack to tighten skin

Ingredients: Cabbage leaves, egg white, rice flour

Take 3-4 cabbage leaves, grind and make a fine paste. Mix it well with 3 tbsp of rice flour and egg white (one egg white). Apply the paste on your face and wash off after 20 minutes. Cabbage leaves are one of the best ingredients to prevent wrinkles and loose skin. Rice flour acts as a natural exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and egg white is well known for its skin tightening properties.

Apple and egg white pack to tighten skin

Ingredients: Apple, lavender oil, egg white

Peel and core a medium sized apple and put it in food processor to make pulp. Mix this pulp with whites of two eggs and a few drops of lavender oil. Gently apply this pack on the face and wait until it becomes dry. Now rinse off with lukewarm water. Apple pulp is a great natural exfoliator. It helps to scrub off the dead skin cells and egg white tightens the skin. Lavender oil soothes the skin.

Cucumber and egg white face pack to tighten skin

Ingredients: Cucumber, lemon juice, vitamin E oil, egg white

Take a cucumber, peel off the skin and put it in a blender to make pulp. Add few drops of vitamin E oil, one egg white and 1 tsp of lemon juice and mix well. Spread this over your face and wash off with lukewarm water after 20 minutes. This face pack is very effective in tightening skin pores and lifting loose skin. Cucumber contains high level of enzymes that tighten skin and keep skin hydrated. Lemon juice removes dead skin cells and fight against the free radicals to help tighten the pores. This face pack works great especially for loose, saggy skin under the eyes.
