Skin Care Routine for Dry Skin, applying cleanser

No matter how dry your skin texture is, there is no skipping a cleanser as you do need to get rid of dead skin cells, dirt and sebum from your face. For morning you can choose a soap free formula as since you had already washed your face at night, it is relatively cleaner. The face washes with soap free formula are made up of similar ingredients like regular face washes but with no detergents. So, their formula is milder on skin and does not deplete skin oils. Look out for a cleanser that is free from fragrance and alcohol.

Cleansing Lotion

You can pick a gentle foaming formula here as after a long day, outdoors, your skin tends to be dirtier. Try a couple of face washes and select the one that does not stretch out your skin. You can also pick something that has very mild, scrub beads. Dry skin does not need an extensive exfoliation routine and a build in, gentle scrub usually  is sufficient.

Same as daytime. Any refreshing, alcohol free serum would do.

Retinol Serum

This a more potent antioxidant mix with vitamin A as it’s main ingredient. Retinol signals your brain for production of new collagen fibres and also speeds up the production new skin cells.

Under Eye Cream

The skin around eyes is thinner as there is lesser subcutaneous fat underneath the skin over here. Thin skin around eyes tends to shrivel sooner leading to appearance of signs of ageing like fine lines and crow’s feet around eyes. A good eye cream hydrates the skin under and around eyes to make it appear healthy and plump.

Hydrating Lotion

Choose a night cream with essential oils like tea tree oil that help to fade acne spots and scars. Since you have already applied antioxidant serum, you may choose a cream with or without antioxidants.
