DIY Remedies for Oily T-zone Problem

  • Pour a few drops of Apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball and wipe the T-zone. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then, wash the face. This will help to calm the oily T-zone to a great extent.
  • Mix 1 tsp each of lemon juice and rose water and use this mixture to wipe the t-zone twice a day. This will work as a natural toner to keep oiliness at bay as well as unclog blocked pores.
  • Mix 1-2 drops of tea tree oil and 2 drops of honey. This is a great mask for oily T-zone. Spread it all over the T-zone and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with plain water. Tea tree oil helps to control oil secretion, while honey keeps the skin hydrated without making it oily.

Use Right Makeup

Oily skin makes it difficult for the makeup to stay on place for long time. So, invest in a good primer to make your makeup long lasting. Opt for a matte foundation for the oily area, but make sure it keeps the skin adequately hydrated. And, choose pressed powder over loose powder for setting your makeup. Pressed powder is slightly on the heavier side and able to control oil and shine in much better way than loose powder. Also, don’t forget to carry blotting papers with you.
