Roots Wooden Comb Review

Hello pretty ladies πŸ™‚ We pay a lot of attention to the hair care products that we use, don’t we? From scrutinizing the ingredients list of our shampoos, conditioners, hair serums and hair oils, we are really conscientious when it comes to hair care. But amongst all this, don’t we turn a blind eye to that weapon which we use to tame our locks? I am talking out none other than our hair combs πŸ™‚ And today I will be sharing a review on hair comb – Roots Wooden Comb Review.

Roots Wooden Comb Review

A great many of us are unaware of the repercussions of plastic combs. I got to know about the virtues of using wooden combs a few months ago and decided of swapping my regular high-end plastic comb with a humble wooden one. Today, I will review Roots Wooden Comb?& let you know how have been the results of the same. My experience with Roots Wooden Comb

Roots Wooden Comb is packed in a simple cardboard pack. If the comb is drawn out properly, then it can be stored in the pack too. The packaging, I think is fine. It may not be sturdy but isn’t poor too.

The comb is made of natural wood and when run down ones hair, your hair doesn’t feel frizzy at all. What happens with plastic combs is that they roughen hair follicles due to their sharp-teeth which contribute to dryness, frizz and in some cases, to even split ends. That fortunately, isn’t the case with wooden combs πŸ™‚ I have used Roots Wooden Comb for over three months and have noted that my hair looks less frizzy and is more manageable than they were earlier.

Since it is wooden, I find it useable and apt for all hair types. It helps a great deal in combating frizz. It claims to reduce split ends which according to me is absurd. How can anything reduce split ends? Once a strand has diverged from the parent strand, how can it go back? The ends which have split out of dryness need to trimmed. And then, if instead of the regular plastic comb, a wooden comb particularly Roots Wooden Comb is used, it may not lead to split ends since wooden combs have smooth, well-rounded and seamless teeth which do not roughen hair follicles πŸ™‚

Overall, I am super happy with Roots Wooden Comb. If you truly love your hair, then this wooden comb is a must-have product.

  1. I bought this too. Wood comb tends to distribute hair oils throught out the hair length. You cannot use this on wet hair. The only problem I am facing is there are fine bamboo coming out of the teeth which entangles to my fine hair. I expected a smoother finish.

    • There’s another brand too, Ankita. I don’t remember its name presently but that was better in its finish. I’ll let you know once I grab it πŸ™‚ And yes that is a flaw but a minor one. At least my hair doesn’t feel frizzy anymore πŸ™‚

  2. i have never used wooden comb but I will try it once πŸ™‚ Good review dear

    • One time usage won’t fetch any significant/noticeable results, Kiran. Try it for a month at least. You’ll feel the difference πŸ™‚

  3. Hair care products are so important these days…and it does no give split ends…i got my reasons to guy

    • Absolutely! And the reason is credible. The ends are smooth hence, don’t rip apart the follicles of hair πŸ™‚ It’s quite pocket-friendly too so you can think of buying one.
