Republic Day is celebrated with great honor every year. India’s Constitution came into force on January 26, 1950 completing our transition to become an independent republic. The best part of 26th January, apart from getting a day off, is that you can go all out with colors. Its time to paint the town in saffron, white and green. Since the day is all about celebrating India’s independent republic, so our outfits should talk about the same spirit. Here I will be talking about few Outfit Ideas for Republic Day that will show our patriotism in a stylish way 🙂

Saree for Republic Day Outfit

Saree is ethnic, elegant and Indian in every aspect. Indian women look best in saree. Republic day is also about focusing on rich history and cultures of India, so saree can be a perfect outfit for Republic Day. And guess what, you don’t have to wear a tri-color saree. Focus on a single color.

These couple of sarees will make you look beautiful on Republic day. Like Rani Mukherjee, you can opt for such traditional orange colored cotton saree with matching sleeveless blouse. The border is a combination of gold and pink zari work. For hair, you can go with plaits or traditional Indian bun.

The saree has multi colored border – black, white and red with sequin gold thread work on it. Pair it up with black sleeveless blouse. Team it up with white oversized shirt and orange handbag. But yes, do a little more makeup than Malaika Arora Khan in the pic (she has gone with no-maakeup). Salwar Kameez is an extremely fashionable and comfortable attire. You can choose to wear loose, long kameez or go for a body hugging one. You can go for a white top and choose either green or orange bottom to pair it up.
