I am back with Osha Naturals Lavender Body Butter Review. Come winters and our skins crying need for moisturization comes to the forefront. In fact, the ridiculously over-imaginative mind of mine launches its clarion call for hydration as it starts envisaging my skin (which by the way, is dry) fall like dry, withered and wilted leaves that fall off trees during autumn! That sends me into a tizzy. Moreover, since I never mince my words while expressing my displeasure regarding chemical-laden products, I am at my wits end when it comes to zeroing in on one moisturiser. A great many of them hide toxic monsters under the garb of their appealing semblance, delightful aroma and eye-catching packaging.

So, to cut the long story short, finding a perfect moisturizer has been a tough decision for me since long. One fine day, I learnt that theres something called a body butter and there’s also an enterprise by the name of Osha Naturals which produces 100% organic, preservative-free and chemical-free skin and hair care products courtesy Internet. I visited their blog to seek more information about them. Since I have a penchant for all things organic and winter isn’t leaving any stone unturned in subjecting my dry skin to its vagaries, I zeroed in on their body butter π Today, I will share Osha Naturals Lavender Body Butter Review. Lets see how it fared for me and prepare its final score card π
Price of Osha Naturals Lavender Body Butter : Rs.1000/- for 3.5 oz/100 gm
Directions for use :
Ingredients : Unrefined shea butter from Ghana, mango butter, cold-pressed almond oil, grapeseed oil, sesame oil, caprylic triglycerides from coconuts, beeswax, jojoba oil, natural vitamin E tocopherols, lavender essential oil and rosemary anti-oxidant.
The ingredients list isnt furnished on the package of the product but you can get in contact with Dr.Mansi (founder of Osha naturals) through her wordpress blog, on Facebook or instagram. You will be provided with all the details. This is the complete ingredients list. The product is completely waterless. It has only oils and butter with zero preservatives.
Some words of caution (as personally told to me by Dr.Mansi) on how to use Lavender body butter-
- Never use dirty hands to scoop out the body butter.
- Don’t use wet/semi-dry hands to scoop out the body butter.
- The product is 100% organic and waterless (adding water supports bacterial growth). It will melt when taken into hands.
- Apply only a pea-sized amount. Dont use it as liberally as a cream (quantity-wise)
Shelf life : Depends on how you use it. Since it 100% organic with no preservatives and cheap fillers, it can last for even a year. However, since it is made up of butters and oil, it may display a tendency to melt during summers. My two cents- Take care! It’ll last as long as you stash and use it properly π Best way to use it when it is fresh and your hands are squeaky clean.
Color : off white
Smell : A gentle whiff of lavender which won’t irk sensitive noses.
What Osha Naturals Lavender Body Butter claims
My experience with Osha Naturals Lavender Body Butter
Packed in a sturdy plastic tub with a cap that has to be rotated to let it open, the packaging of Osha Naturals Lavender Body Butter is simple, no-nonsense, spillage-free (thanks to its sturdy cap) and travel-friendly. On account of packaging, it is up to the mark for me. Simplicity after all, has its own charm π
Osha Naturals Lavender Body Butter has a thick but non-greasy texture. It is not light-weight and neither is it meant to be after all, its a body butter and not a mere moisturizer. Even though body butters are primarily crafted for dry and extremely dry skin for providing intense moisturisation, due to its 100% organic and preservative-free content, I find it suitable for use by normal skin too. On the contrary, since oily and extremely oily skin types do not need intense moisturization and if applied in excess may clog their pores, so I won’t recommend it to them.
The staying power is what took me by surprise. I applied this once-a generous amount of it one morning- and it kept my skin well-hydrated for a good 5-6 hours at a stretch when I am indoors. Once outdoors, the staying power reduces since our skin comes in contact with air that is, less in humidity hence, washes away our skins moisture. It keeps my skin hydrated for about 3.5-4 hours once outdoors and this is the case during Delhi’s freezing winters π
It is non-sticky and gets absorbed after being properly massaged. Since it is composed of only butters and oils, it leaves a slightly slippery after-effect but if massaged properly, it will easily get absorbed in your skin. It is organic so I am finally at ease whenever I smear it over my body since in the name of nourishment, I am not extirpating/smothering it. My skin feels intensely hydrated, soft, smooth and a little radiant too when the body butter gets absorbed in it well. The glow imparts a dewy look and it looks all the more eye-pleasing when one smears it after having a bath π
Finally, I have landed a product that I can go gaga over with abandon π Osha Naturals Lavender Body Butter is indispensable for dry and extremely dry skin types. It can be used by normal skin too, however, oily and extremely oily skin should steer clear off it.

Nice one…and organic product is another USP
Cent per cent organic, Pallavi π
A little expensive but I like the all organic tag.
It’s THE solution for dry skin. Yes, it is expensive but since there is nothing artificial added, it shouldn’t pinch one’s pocket. They are providing us value for money, after all π
