This is the simplest way to use olive oil for skin care. Take 2-3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil and massage it thoroughly all over the skin in circular motion for few minutes.

Wait for another 10-15 minutes to let the skin absorb all the goodness. Use a mild cleanser and fresh water to rinse off.

Alternatively, you can simply wipe off the excess with a damp wash cloth. Do this olive oil massage at least once in a day.

2. Use Olive Oil to Treat Acne

Raw Honey and Olive Oil : Take raw honey and extra virgin olive oil in 1:1 ratio and mix them together. Massage the resultant mixture on the face in circular motions for 2-3 minutes.

Keep on massaging for few minutes and then, wipe it off with a damp towel. Rinse off the face with fresh, cool water and repeat thrice per week.

Olive Oil and Baking Soda : Prepare a slightly coarse paste by mixing together some baking soda and extra virgin olive oil. Apply it on to the face and massage in circular motion for few minutes.

Leave it on the skin for another 10-15 minutes before washing off with fresh water. Repeat every alternate day.

Olive Oil and Turmeric Powder : Here is another great way to use olive oil for skin care. This remedy works wonderfully to give you clean and clear skin by reducing acne and lightening acne scars. Mix together some turmeric powder and extra virgin olive oil and prepare a thick paste.

Apply it on to the damp skin and keep it on for 10-12 minutes. Once it starts to get dry, wet your fingertips and rub your skin gently before rinsing off.

Finally, wash the face with cool water. Repeat this treatment for acne and acne scars 2-3 times in a week.

4. Use Olive Oil to Heal Dry Skin

Olive Oil and Coconut Oil : Take few drops each of coconut oil and extra virgin olive oil and mix them together. Massage the resultant mixture all over the face and neck, gently with your fingertips using circular motions.

Wait for some time so that the skin can absorb all the goodness. You can wipe it off with a damp towel or leave it on as an overnight treatment and wash off the next morning. Repeat daily at night.

Olive Oil and Egg Yolk : Break one egg and separate an egg yolk from the egg white. Keep it in a bowl and whisk the same using a fork. Add a tbsp olive oil to that and mix together.

Apply this mixture all over the face and massage gently with your fingertips in circular motion. Allow it to sit on the skin for another 15-20 minutes.

After that, wash it off with a mild cleanser and fresh water. Repeat 2-3 times in a week.

Olive Oil and Avocado Oil : This is a wonderful way to use olive oil for skin care, specially f you have dry skin. Take a tbsp of extra virgin olive oil and add a tsp avocado oil to that.

Mix together and massage the resultant mixture onto the skin gently with your fingertips. Keep on massaging in circular motion for at least 2-3 minutes.

Let it stay on the skin for another 15-20 minutes before washing off with plain water. Repeat every day.

5. Get Rid of Stretch Marks with Olive Oil

Olive Oil and Castor Oil : Take castor oil and extra virgin olive oil in 1:1 ratio. Mix together and apply this resultant mixture on the skin where you have stretch marks.

Gently massage for 10 minutes and then cover the area with a clean piece of cloth. Apply heat compress on that place and rest for 20 minutes.

Remove the cloth and wipe off the excess oil. Repeat this remedy every day to get rid of stretch marks.

Olive Oil, Vitamin E oil and Lemon juice : This is a very effective way to use olive oil for skin care, specially to lighten stretch marks. Take a tsp each of olive oil and vitamin E oil. To that, add half tsp fresh lemon juice and mix everything together.

Apply the resultant mixture on the stretch marks affected areas of the skin. Gently massage with your fingertips and leave it on the skin until the skin absorbs most of it.

Rinse off with fresh water and use this remedy twice everyday to lighten stretch marks.

Olive Oil and Shea Butter : Melt some unrefined shea butter with the help of a double boiler. Remove from the heat. Mix the shea butter with some olive oil. The ratio should be 1:3 – a part of olive oil and 3 parts of shea butter.

Take a small amount of this mixture and apply it on the stretch marks directly. Massage with your fingertips in circular motions for few minutes.

Wait until the skin absorbs it all. Repeat the process every day for best results.

6. Prevent Wrinkles with Olive Oil

Olive Oil, Honey and Glycerin : In a bowl, take few drops each of extra virgin olive oil, raw honey and glycerin. Mix together and apply the resultant mixture on the wrinkles directly.

Massage the area for 5-10 minutes. Next wipe off the excess with a piece of damp cloth. Wash the skin with fresh water. Repeat twice daily.

Olive Oil and Pineapple : Take a cup of pineapple cubes and put them in the blender. Add 2-3 tsp of extra virgin olive oil to that. Blend together to get a smooth paste.

Take out and apply it on to the wrinkles. Gently massage for few minutes and wait for 20-25 minutes before washing off with fresh water. Repeat the process every alternate day.

Olive Oil and Avocado Oil : Cut one avocado in to half. Remove the seed and skin. Scoop out the fleshy part with a knife or spoon and mash the avocado. Take a tbsp of mashed avocado and add a tsp of olive oil to that.

Mix together and apply this as a face pack. Leave it on the skin for 25-30 minutes before rinsing off with fresh water. Do this every alternate day to get rid of wrinkles.
