I seriously don’t know why I purchased it. The SA’s somehow convinced me that this particular lip gloss would look really nice on me and I got trapped 😛 But the shade is really nice and I have soft corner for mauve shades and this one is just perfect. I purchased this gloss 3 months ago and now writing a review. Read on to know how it work. 🙂

The Maybelline water shine soft mauve lip-gloss comes in a regular lip-gloss packaging with a silver cap and the packaging is sturdy so you can carry it in your purse while travelling. The packaging is cute and the wand inside it is also of nice quality which makes application easy. It has a very pleasant but mild scent which is good for sensitive noses. The shade is mauve and it has lots and lots of shimmers in it. I personally hate shimmers but I applied it on my lips and I could feel a little stickiness. My hairs stick to my lips and I hate it for that. Also, the shimmers look overpowering and when applied on lips it looks silverfish L because of the shimmers. You can avoid applying lip balm beneath which is good. To make it little subtle I usually apply it on my lips and then dab my lips with a tissue paper so that shimmers get stick to the tissue and my lips look good during the day time. It stays for maximum 2 hours on my lips when I don’t eat anything… imagines its staying power with meals or even with slight meals?? The pigmentation is quite good and one swipe on lips is enough to hide my pigmented lip which is good. I usually wear it alone but you can also wear it on similar shades lipsticks. The ingredient list is also missing Lwhich again a minus pint. Overall, I am not really happy with the lip gloss but if you like the shade and shimmer and prefer budget buys then this one is good choice otherwise don’t buy.
