I confess that I am completely a greedy person, when it comes to lipstick. And if it’s a Maybelline lipstick, then it’s a must have for me. Maybelline has recently launched a new range of lipsticks “Maybelline Color Show Big Apple Reds”. As the name suggests, the range includes different shades of red lipsticks, like Big Apple Red, Pink My Red, Red Liberation, Dare to be Red and Cosmopolitan red. I recently tested the Maybelline Color Show Big Apple Red Lipstick and today I will share my experience with you.

My experience with Maybelline Color Show Big Apple Red Lipstick

Let’s start with packaging. Maybelline Color Show Big Apple Red Lipstick has a simple yet classy packaging. The lipstick comes in a matte black plastic case with a color coded ring in between. Basically all the lipstick from this range has this red colored ring in the tube, so I guess it doesn’t help to choose shade. However the shade name is given at the bottom of the tube. The cap shuts nicely with a click sound, making it a travel friendly packaging.

Maybelline Color Show Big Apple Red Lipstick has soft, creamy texture. It is beautiful subtle red shade with pink undertone. The lipstick has a lovely mild fragrance. It glides smoothly on the lips without any tugging or pulling. Within a few seconds of application, it gives a nice matte finish to the lips.

Coming to its pigmentation, Maybelline Color Show Big Apple Red Lipstick is very well pigmented and gives an opaque coverage in just two swipes. It hides all the imperfections of the lips and instantly brightens up the face. The shade looks very pretty on Indian skin tone. If you love wearing bright lipstick on daily basis, then it is the perfect shade for daily wear.

Despite imparting a matte finish, Maybelline Color Show Big Apple Red Lipstick is actually very creamy and moisturizing. It doesn’t dry out the lips at all and neither sets into fine lines. The lipstick does transfer a bit, but nothing too bothersome. Coming to the staying power, this lipstick stays put on my lips for almost 5-6 hours. It does survive snacks and drinks, but starts to fade away after meal. It leaves behind a lovely stain, which can be removed with a good lipstick remover.

Overall, I am totally in love with this Maybelline Color Show Big Apple Red Lipstick. A gorgeous shade with a great staying power, and despite being a matte lipstick, it doesn’t dry out lips at all. Its an amazing lipstick and a must have for every lipstick lover!
