Lakme has recently came up with 20 new shades of Lakme Enrich Matte Lipsticks. And I picked up this Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM12 from the range. Matte lipsticks are in trend these days. Unlike glossy lipsticks, matte lipsticks are perfect for every occasion and they give a smart, crispy look. I also love matte lipsticks, however I am more of a fan of creamy matte formulas.

What Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM12 claims

The new Lakmé Enrich Matte will be available in 20 vibrant shades, and come in a spectrum of pinks, browns, light and dark colours, all designed to match every skin tone. These attractive new matte lipsticks are extremely comfortable to wear thanks to their creamy texture, making it the best of both worlds! Its intense colour delivery has no drag while applying and prevents from drying those luscious lips. It has Vitamin E and olive extracts to replenish the lips while hydrating them. The transparent containers have a silver matte sleeve that even helps you distinguish between the Enrich Matte and the Enrich Satin, so you don’t mix them up in your make up bag!

My experience with Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM12

Lets talk about the packaging first. Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM12 has transparent packaging. It has matte silver sleeve which helps to distinguish between Enrich matte and Enrich satin range. Overall, the packaging is sturdy and one can put the lipstick safely in the handbag.

Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM12 has exactly same smell like Enrich satin lipsticks. My Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM12 is a coral pink shade. Here PM stands for Pink Matte. These Enrich Matte lipsticks are named like this – PM for Pink Matte, OM for Orange Matte, WM for Wine Matte etc. Anyway, coming back to my Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM12, the coral pink shade is just amazing. It is perfect for everyday wear and a great shade for college goers. The shade would suit Indian skin tone nicely.

Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM12 has powdery texture, may be because its a matte formula. The lipstick won’t glide smoothly on the lips unless they are well moisturized. Even then also, the lipstick doesn’t give even application. It settles down into the lip creases within few minutes of application. Also some lip color gets deposited to the inner side of the lips which looks so tacky.

I just hate its application on the lips. Every time I apply this, all I do is press my lips together and keep on trying to spread the settled down lipstick. Coming to the staying power, Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM12 has a very low staying power and it fades away as soon as you take a meal. But it doesn’t go off completely. The lipstick leaves behind a stain which is quite difficult to remove!

Overall, I am really disappointed with Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM12. It has powdery texture, which prevents smooth application. The lipstick tends to settle down into lip creases. The staying power is very low as well. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone!
