It is one of my makeup essentials. I never go out without eyeliner ( & a little color on my lips) . It’s amazing how a single swipe of eyeliner can instantly change our look, isn’t it? My obsession to experiment with different colors and types of eyeliner ( but I have my favorites that I keep on coming back to) has actually resulted me having a huge collection of these little beauties. Glitter eyeliner is like my latest craze 🙂 So I picked up this LA Splash Glitter Eyeliner Golden Sea which is actually a beautiful aqua blue shade.

LA Splash is an USA brand. They are actually a divison of Jon Davler, Incorporated. LA Splash is one of the premiere color cosmetic manufacturers in United States. LA Splash has a range of total 109 eyeliners in metallic, matte and glitter variety. LA Splash eyeliners claim to be smudge proof and water resistant with an impressive 12 hour wear time. Direction for use : Tilt your head back slightly and bring your eyes to a half-open state. This creates a good angle for application, while allowing you to see what you’re doing. Draw a line across the upper lid on the lash line (as close to your lashes as possible while still on the lid). If you’re using liquid liner, allow it to dry before opening your eyes all the way, or the color may transfer into the crease of your eye. Soften the look by gently smudging the line with your brush, a cotton swab or your finger.

My experience with LA Splash Glitter Eyeliner Golden Sea
This LA Splash Glitter Eyeliner Golden Sea comes in a rectangular glass tube with a long handle. The tube is actually transparent and so you can keep an eye on the product left. The cap cum applicator shuts the bottle tightly and therefore you can carry it easily anywhere.
The shade, like I said before is aqua blue and I actually love the color. I also love the long and slender handle of this eyeliner as it gives me more control while applying the liner. However, the brush is a total disappointment. The bristles are scattered and at times the application becomes quite difficult.
LA Splash Glitter Eyeliner Golden Sea is a clear base eyeliner. As you can see in the swatch picture above, it looks like glitters floating around in a clear base. The glitters are not dense at all and they don’t spread evenly. So don’t expect a smooth finish from this eyeliner. It takes ages to dry as that makes it a no-no, when you are in hurry.
Because of its clear base, LA Splash Glitter Eyeliner Golden Sea doesn’t look good when applied alone. But it won’t look that bad if you use a black or blue eyeliner as a base and apply it over that. When I first saw the bottle, I was expecting something like fine shimmers in a gel base, but instead all I got was chunky glitters in clear base.. little disappointing you see!
Overall, this LA Splash Glitter Eyeliner Golden Sea is a very average product. It comes with a hefty price tag, but actually delivers very ordinary result. I would suggest to totally skip it.
