Hey lovely ladies, This is my first review on Beautiful Hamesha Blog and I am super excited. I am following this blog from some time and I found it amazing. I congratulate Kiran on creating this blog and giving girls like us a chance to share their love for beauty. Today I am going to review a shampoo. I was searching for a sulphate and paraben free shampoo some days ago and I stumbled upon this shampoo so I thought of giving it a try. My post is about Just Herbs 8 In 1 Root Nourishing Amla Neem Shampoo Review.
The thing which attracted me to this shampoo was its simple and attractive packaging and also its ingredient list. As soon as I read the ingredients I was sure that I am going to buy it as it is totally chemical free and pocket friendly too. It comes in different sizes so that we can try it first and if we like it then we can purchase a bigger bottle of it. The problems being I wish for a conditioner too of the same range and the shampoo claims to have some cleansing base, which is doubtful as I can’t figure out what exactly this cleansing base comprises of.
Price: Rs.225/- for 100 ml.
Directions for using: Apply on wet hair. Work up to lather and rinse with water. Repeat if necessary. For best results, give hot oil prewash conditioning treatment with JH Bhringraj Tail or JH Javakusum oil on the night before or half an hour prior to shampoo.
Ingredients: It is a great combination of eight herbs – Amla, Hibiscus, Heena, Tigonella Seed, Neem, Vetiver, Wheatgerm Oil and Soy Lecithin. Indian gooseberry (Amla). Each 5 ml. Contains Amla 5mg, jasum phool 5mg, henna 5mg, trigonella 2mg, neem 5mg, usneer 5mg, godhuma 1mg, lecithin 1mg, mild cleansing base.
Shelf life: 3 years but use within 6 months after opening.
Color: It is green in colour.
Consistency: Neither thick nor runny it is like gel.
Smell: It has a very mild herbal scent which faints after sometime.
What Just Herbs 8 in 1 Root Nourishing Amla Neem shampoo claims
Synergistically formulated shampoo to penetrate the hair shaft, strengthen the roots and nourish the scalp, while effectively cleansing the hair without stripping off its natural oils. While wheatgerm oil acts as an antioxidant, soy lecithin softens and repairs damaged hair thus reducing the dryness and brittleness associated with lack of nutrients necessary for a healthy hair growth. Hibiscus naturally darkens hair colour and prevents premature greying, while neem and methi seed extracts deeply nourish and condition the hair roots thus controlling excessive hair fall.
My experience withJust Herbs 8 In 1 Root Nourishing Amla Neem Shampoo
I love the packaging of Just Herbs shampoo it is not bulky and easy to carry. I love the colour and smell of the shampoo too. The smell is not bothersome. It cleanse scalp very well and a little amount is required every time I wash my hair. I love this shampoo as it is paraben and sulphate free. However, it is a bit expensive keeping in mind the quantity but I don’t have any problem paying this much for a chemical free shampoo. After using this shampoo I did noticed my hair become more soft and manageable.
It did not give me hair fall rather I love the shine and little bounce it gave to my hair. The only thing which bothered me is that the bottle is not having any dispenser due to which I am not able to control the amount of product dispensed hence, there are chances of wastage. My hair become dry due to winters and this shampoo reduced the dryness and frizz to a certain extent which I absolutely liked. It works well even if I don’t follow it up with a conditioner. I have thin hair so this bottle will last me from 10 – 12 washes. As it is a herbal shampoo so there are fewer chances for damage. It may work for some and may not work for some but it is definitely not going to give your hair any damage.
Although it claims to control hair fall but I doubt this. In my case it did not gave me additional hair fall but did not controlled it too. I continued to experience the same amount of hair fall which I used to experience earlier. I also have dandruff problem which becomes more evident in winters because of dryness, though this shampoo made my hair smooth and manageable but did little for dandruff. Still have to use a dandruff shampoo for that problem. Because I have dry hair I always oil my hair a night before washing. This shampoo removes oil effectively from the scalp although it didn’t lather much being a SLS free shampoo.
Well I am totally in love with this shampoo it is good for hair and scalp and also free from chemicals so those who are looking for a good and mild cleansing shampoo can surely give this a try
