When I searched this brand on purplle, I was amazed to see their shade collection. They have total 20 shades in this I Amsterdamn Matte Lip Crayon Lipstick range. The shade that I bought is Renown 4. Along with this, some of the other shades are – Pink Diamond 1, Menton 2, Andre Rieu 3, Kingblood 5, Recreado 6, etc. This collection is known as ‘Tulipa Single Late’. The brand is named after the city Amsterdam, and we know Amsterdam is famous for its tulips, hence the collection name. These lipsticks are vegan and toxicity free, as well as contains vitamin E. I Amsterdamn Matte Lip Crayon Lipstick comes in a white colored pencil form. These are plain lip crayons, without any retractable mechanism. We need to sharpen the tip from time to time. The tip is nicely protected with a transparent cap, which sits tightly and doesn’t come off on its own, hence, we can carry it safely in the bag.

The shade name and number is written at the bottom of the crayon. It has an outer packaging as well, which comes in the form of a white cardboard box with beautiful tulips printed on it. Though the lip crayon requires sharpening, but sadly, the brand doesn’t provide any sharpener in the packaging.

I Amsterdamn Matte Lip Crayon Appearance

I Amsterdamn Matte Lip Crayon Lipstick in the shade Renown 4 is a gorgeous pink shade. The color would look good on fair-medium to wheatish complexion. The texture is smooth and creamy, and the lip crayon doesn’t have any particular smell as such.

My Experience with I Amsterdamn Matte Lip Crayon Lipstick

I Amsterdamn Matte Lip Crayon Lipstick glides smoothly on the lips without any tug or pull. It is a lightweight formula which feels creamy on the lips initially, and later on it settles in to matte finish.

However, it is not a 100% matte lip crayon, but a semi-matte formula. The lip crayon keeps the lips moisturized unlike 100% matte lipsticks, hence, lips don’t feel dry at all.

Talking about pigmentation, it will need two swipes for the actual color to show off. Since it is a creamy matte formula, the lipstick transfers as well as smudge, if you rub your lips with the fingers.

Coming to the staying power of I Amsterdamn Matte Lip Crayon Lipstick, the lip crayon is not much long lasting. It does survive light snacks and coffee, but you need a re-application after a full meal.

Overall, I Amsterdamn Matte Lip Crayon Lipstick is a semi-matte lip crayon. It feels light and comfortable on the lips. However, it does transfer and smudge, and also the staying power is not much impressive. Go for it if you are in shoe-string budget.
