Things You Need :

  • 1 fully ripe banana
  • 2-3 tbsp organic honey
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice

Procedure and Application :

Peel the banana and cut into small pieces. With the back of of a fork, smash it or simply put the banana pieces in the blender. Take out the banana pulp or smashed banana and add the honey and lemon juice and mix everything thoroughly to make the face mask. Apply it on clean face and wait for 20 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water. Follow up with a light moisturizer.

Lemon juice is excellent for controlling excess oil production on the skin ans it also helps to reduce acne/pimples etc. Banana is a rich source of vitamins and potassium, manganese, zinc. iron etc which help to promote overall skin health. Honey is a natural humectant that draws moisture from environment into the skin and lock it in.

Things You Need :

  • 1 tbsp of coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp of shea butter
  • 1 tbsp of aloe vera gel

Procedure and Application :

Mix all the ingredients nicely to prepare a smooth paste. Apply the face mask on clean face and neck. Wait for 20 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and with a splash of cold water at the end. Pat dry and apply your favorite moisturizer to lock in the moisture.

Things You Need :

  • 1/4th cup of whole milk
  • 1 tbsp bentonite clay (You can use multani mitti if bentonite clay is not available)

Procedure and Application :

Mix both the ingredients to prepare the hydrating face mask for combination skin. Apply on clean face and let it sit there for 10-15 minutes. Don’t let the mask to dry on your skin, because that will defeat the purpose of this face mask. Wash it off when it reaches semi-dry stage and follow up with a good moisturizer.

Combination skin has an oily t-zone and drier cheek areas. So, those with combination skin need a face mask that will balance the oil as well as moisturize the dry areas. Milk, in this face pack, will moisturize the skin without making it oily, whereas, clay or multani mitti, whatever you use, will get rid of excess oil from the face.
