Tea tree oil is widely used today in various skin care products because of its amazing skin healing properties. Tea tree oil is no less than a miraculous product for skin, which came from Australia.  For thousands of years, tea tree oil has been used to heal cut and wounds. How To Use Tea Tree Oil For Skin

Tea tree oil is a very effective natural remedy to treat various skin related problems like acne, pimples, eczema etc. Tea tree oil has amazing anti bacterial, anti viral, anti fungus and antiseptic properties. Tea tree oil soothes the skin. Moreover, tea tree oil doesn’t strip the skin off its essential oils. Tea tree oil can be a fantastic alternative to many expensive skin care treatments. There are various ways to apply tea tree oil on skin. Here in this post we have compiled a list of how to use tea tree oil for skin.

Tea tree oil to cure pimples 

Tea tree oil can be applied directly on skin to treat acne and pimples. The anti bacterial properties of tea tree oil helps to cure the acne and pimples by killing the bacteria and eventually drying out the acne. Take a few drops of tea tree oil on a cotton pad and apply gently on the affected areas. Leave overnight. Alternatively, you can make a face pack with 1 tbsp each of honey and yogurt and 3-4 drops of tea tree oil. Apply it on the face and wash off after 20 minutes.

Tea tree oil for spot treatment 

Add a few drops of tea tree oil with 2 tbsp of aloe vera gel or honey. Apply the paste on pimple marks. This is an effective spot treatment at home. This paste can be stored for future use.

Tea tree oil for healthy skin 

Tea tree oil can be added with homemade or store brought face packs. This will kill bacteria, dry out pimples, whiteheads and blackheads and make skin overall healthy.

Take 1 tsp of jojoba oil and add 3-4 drops of tea tree oil to it. Next add finely chopped tomatoes to it and blend together to make fine paste. Apply this paste on the face and wash off after 15-20 minutes.

Add 4-5 drops of tea tree oil to ¼ cup of plain yogurt and apply this on face. Wash off after 20 minutes. Use this pack regularly to get soft, glowing and healthy skin.

Tea tree oil for exfoliation 

Tea tree oil can be used in facial scrubs to fight pimple and acne. Take ½ cup of sugar and add 2 tbsp of honey, ¼ cup of olive oil and 10-12 drops of tea tree oil to it. Mix well and your acne control facial scrub is ready. Scrub your face gently with it for 3-6 minutes and wash your face with lukewarm water.

Tea tree oil to cure dry skin 

As much as tea tree oil is effective in treating pimple, it also cures dry skin. Add few drops of tea tree oil with 1 tbsp on olive oil or almond oil and massage your face gently with it. Wait for some time and take shower. Regular use of this oil mix can help you get soft, hydrated and glowing skin.

Tea tree oil to soften dry cuticles 

Mix 10 drops of tea tree oil with 10 drops of lavender oil and 1 tbsp of olive oil. Put this oil mix in a glass bottle and shake well to combine. Apply few drops of this oil mix on your nails and cuticles and massage gently. It will soften your dry cuticles and keep the nails free from any fungus or bacteria attack.
