Why use Natural Hair Dye?

It has been found that the commercial hair dyes are full of harmful chemicals, which at high exposure, can cause skin problems, respiratory troubles as well as cancer. According to studies, over 5,000 different types of chemicals are found in synthetic hair dyes and many of them have been reported to be carcinogenic in animals. Some of them are –

Phenylenediamine – This has been classified as a toxic substance which is dangerous for our environment. It can irritate our skin as well as respiratory system.

Alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs) – These can disrupt the hormonal balance in our body.

Quaternium-15 – This can release formaldehyde which further can cause cancer.

Now-a-days, most of the hair dye manufactures have eliminated many of the harmful chemicals from their products, but still the ones that are present are far from being “safe”. So, whether you want to cover the grays or do a bit of experiment, exposing yourself to the toxins should never be a choice. On that note, find out below the natural hair color recipes that you can try at home and enjoy a nice color safely.
