Emami Vasocare Herbal Skin Jelly Review

Winters have begun showing their effect up in the North. Early mornings in Delhi are now marked by the city wrapped in a blanket of fog, a palpable chill in the breeze as it whizzes past your ears compelling you to snuggle cosily in your sweaters/cardigans. Today I will be sharing Emami Vasocare Herbal Skin Jelly Review. Winters have set in Delhi, and so arises the need or rather more aptly, the exigency to moisturize your body. If you haven’t been careful and devoted when it comes to moisturizing your body all this while, now is the time and if you happen to ave dry/extremely dry skin, better pull up your socks and raid your beauty arsenal my soldier 🙂

Emami Vasocare Herbal skin Jelly Review

I have recently come across this Emami Vasocare Herbal Skin Jelly. I have purchased its smallest variant because I am trying it out for the first time and I believe that if it (or any product in general) works out well for my skin, I always have an option of switching over to its bigger variants but in case, it doesn’t, the loss wouldn’t much 🙂 Let’s move on to Emami Vasocare Herbal Skin Jelly Review to know how it fared me.

Emami Vasocare Herbal skin Jelly pack

Price of Emami Vasocare Herbal Skin Jelly :Rs. 5/- for 8+ 0.4(free) ml. Bigger variants are also available. This one is the smallest of all.

Directions for use : (Not mentioned overtly on the product’s package) but it is clear that it has be simply drawn out and massaged into the body.

Ingredients : Aloe vera, chamomile, tulsi (key ingredients are only mentioned)

Shelf life :Printed on the bottom as a specific time period from 11/2014 to 10/2017 so that means roughly 3 years.

Color :A very light shade of sea green.

Smell : A very strong and over-powering (repelling) smell like that of Vicks vaporub. It doesn’t feel like a skin jelly but feels more like Moov or vix vaporub. And that, to me is disgusting. The funny part is that the manufacturers have printed “lightly fragranced” on its package!

What Emami Vasocare Herbal Skin Jelly claims

5 times more effective (my question being “As compared to what?”).. ?Nothing apart from 5 times more effective is written so I am considering it as its sole claim.

My experience with Emami Vasocare Herbal Skin Jelly

Emami Vasocare Herbal Skin Jelly comes packed in a pathetic, flimsy plastic tub with the flimsiest cap I have ever come across. The cap loosens after the very first usage and is susceptible to leakage/spillage. On account of packaging, it is pathetic.

Now coming to the Emami Vasocare Herbal Skin Jelly’s texture, I still hadn’t written off the product simply on the basis of its flimsy packaging, thinking that if the jelly works well on my skin, I would still rate it high. But I guess it is too keen to underwhelming you. The texture is “slightly” thick and gets absorbed into your skin quickly. In fact it gets absorbed so quickly that every 10 minutes you have to re-apply as its effect vanishes into thin air! It is that ineffective, which is a major put-off. Why on earth will someone use a skin jelly whose effect vanishes within minutes? It doesn’t hydrate even normal skin let alone dry or parched skin.

On top of it, you have its obnoxious ‘Moov’ like smell which compels everyone around me to ask if I have hurt any part of my body for which I have applied Moov! I know it is odd that its effect vanishes within minutes but smell stays for sometime post application!! That is what happened in my case.

On the whole, I will not recommend Emami Vasocare Herbal Skin Jelly to anyone. I can assert this confidently that it is highly unlikely for this product to work on any skin type. Hence, I label it an out-and-out dud.?Rs.5/- wasted!!

  2. I’ve loved petroleum jellies for ages! Too bad, this…!! 🙁

  3. @Kiran- It is. But you can use it as a magic tool in front of kids like “Ye dekho bachho abhi ye mere haath pe hai”… mumble some words like abracadabra and then “Ab ye gaayab hogya. Dekha jaadu?” 😛 That’s the only sane use you can put it to if you have unfortunately purchased it 😛
@Vidushi- Vaseline is great yaar. But this one shakes you belief in petroleum jellies!
