My experience with Dove Hair Therapy Daily Shine Conditioner

Packed in a sturdy plastic bottle with a flip-top cap, the packaging of Dove Hair Therapy Daily Shine Conditioner is simple, sturdy, leakage-free and travel-friendly. The cap is indeed so strong that I doubt it’d every spill unless you have received a broken/defective piece. On account of packaging, it is certainly up to the mark.

Dove Hair Therapy Daily Shine Conditioner has a slightly thick texture, white appearance and pleasant aroma (that’s artificial, of course). The two of us- my cousin and I oiled our tresses with virgin sesame oil soused in tulsi leaves the previous night and massaged curd the very next morning. After that, using my Holy Grail organic shampoo- BON Organics Herbal Shampoo, I washed my hair and massaged a liberal amount of this conditioner on my hair’s ends.

What I noted was relatively softer hair but that was ephemeral. As times elapses, your hair reverts to its original fettle. Besides imparting softness (that too, only a little), Dove Hair Therapy Daily Shine Conditioner did nothing noteworthy for us. A look at its ingredients list and I was appalled for it had nearly every chemical one should refrain from using on their mane- from linalool to coal tar dyes, from silicones (dimethicone) to PEG, from DMDM Hydantion to EDTA, it leaves no stone unturned in being harsh (although by the immediate effects of it, you won’t get the idea of how noxious it is in actuality).

In a nutshell,Dove Hair Therapy Daily Shine Conditioner is too harsh. It comes pumped with myriad chemicals that if used regularly/for a long duration, would wreak havoc on your hair. I would neither recommend it nor purchase again.
