Hello all 🙂 This time I will be sharing Dove Elixir Nourished Shine Hibiscus & Argan Oil Review. A relaxing head massage at the end of a busy, tiring day followed by watching some youtube videos while lazing on your couch… Sounds like a luxury dream for most of us nowadays, right? In our busy lifestyles, leisure and relaxation has really become like a fantasy. Somehow in my busy schedule, I manage to treat myself to an oil massage atleast twice a week. To make the experience more pampering, I decided to try this Dove Elixir Nourished Shine Hibiscus & Argan Oil instead of the normal coconut oil. Read on to know my experience with this hair oil.
Dove is a trusted brand in hair care which has been around for a long time. I have been using their shampoos for a long time in my school and college days (now I have shifted to organic brands :p) and they have worked reasonably well. So I thought of giving this Dove Elixir Nourished Shine Hibiscus & Argan Oil also a try. What attracted me was the combination of hibiscus and argan oil, both of which are very good for hair. Below I have shared my experience of using this hair oil. Scroll down and read my Dove Elixir Nourished Shine Hibiscus & Argan Oil Review.

What Dove Elixir Nourished Shine Hibiscus & Argan Oil claims
My experience with Dove Elixir Nourished Shine Hibiscus & Argan Oil
First of all the packaging of the Dove Elixir Nourished Shine Hibiscus & Argan Oil really deserves an applause. For such an affordable price, they have given a really luxurious, attractive glass bottle with a pump mechanism. There is a tiny plastic stopper to close the pump. There are some dried hibiscus petals which are floating inside the oil which add to the attractiveness. Believe me, this bottle will just look so pretty sitting on your dressing shelf.
I initially got this with the intent of oil massaging as I thought hibiscus and argan oil will help in hair growth and healthy hair. But when I came home and read the ingredients list of Dove Elixir Nourished Shine Hibiscus & Argan Oil, I was very disappointed as I saw 78% mineral oil in the list. I still decided to take a risk and massaged my scalp with it before shampooing. I tried it 2-3 times, but then noticed more hair fall. So I stopped using it as a regular hair oil and decided to try it as hair serum.
While using as a serum, a little goes a long way as its slightly thick and applying more can weigh your hair down. The fragrance is very pleasant and soothing and your hair will smell good for a long time. Dove Elixir Nourished Shine Hibiscus & Argan Oil helps to detangle hair easily, reduce frizziness and makes hair smooth. And the best part that I love is, it adds a shine and glossy look. This hair oil has helped me particularly in the winters when my hair looked very dull and dehydrated.
It also lasts for a long time, as only a small quantity is required each time. I have been using this Hair oil for over a year now :p
Overall,?Dove Elixir Nourished Shine Hibiscus & Argan Oil, though it is mentioned as oil, it is actually just a serum. I would advise you not to apply on the scalp since it contains high percent of mineral oil. But as a serum, it works well in making hair shiny and glossy. If you have very dry and frizzy hair, you should give this a try.
