In the mixer grinder, put 2 tbsp of aloe vera gel, few dates, some cottage cheese, cucumber and lime juice and whiz it up to make a smooth paste. Refrigerate it for 10-15 minutes. Take out the cool mixture and with the help of a cotton ball, apply it all over the face. Let it sit for 20 minutes and then rinse off with water. Repeat this once or twice a week for best result.

Natural bleaching properties of cucumber and lime juice lighten up the skin. Dates prevent accumulation of melanin in our body. Melanin plays a vital role in determining our skin color. Cottage cheese is another amazing ingredient that helps to whiten the skin considerably.

Aloe Vera and Almonds for Skin Whitening

Soak a handful of almonds overnight and grind them next morning to make a paste. Mix aloe vera gel with it and combine both the ingredients thoroughly. Apply it on the face and other darkened parts of the body. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then rinse off. Repeat once a week.

Aloe vera and brown sugar can be combined together to make an excellent skin whitening scrub. Mix equal amount of brown sugar and aloe vera gel to make the scrub and apply it on the face. Gently exfoliate the face and wash off with plain water. This scrub removes dead skin cells to unveil a clearer and brighter skin. Also, sugar contains glycolic acid which is known to make skin fairer.

Wash the skin with lukewarm water and apply a thick coat of the paste on the face. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes and wash with cold water. Repeat thrice a week for faster result.

Cabbage contains potassium that detoxifies our body and make our complexion fairer. Cabbage is a rich source of vitamin A and E which rejuvenate the cells and give us a softer and fairer skin.
