Colors of the Year 2016

Hi all 🙂 Today I am going to talk about something pretty interesting. Today my post is about Colors of the Year 2016. Makeup is all about playing with colors and this year its going to be all pastel. Pantone has announced the official colors of 2016. And for the first time ever, Pantone has chosen two colors and both the colors are simply stunning – Rose Quartz and Serenity. Every year Pantone chooses a color of the year which they believe will rule the world of fashion, makeup, home decor and design. Last year it was Marsala.

This year, it is a much softer take for Colors of the Year. Rose Quartz is a shade of palest pink while Serenity is baby blue. Rose Quartz is a gentle tone that conveys composure and compassion, while Serenity brings a feeling of relaxation and respite even in difficult times. In today’s world, people are seeking mindfulness and well being to deal with modern day stress. According to Pantone, these two colors when joined together demonstrate a wonderful balance between warm rose and cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a calming sense of order and peace.

Rose Quartz is a great shade for cheeks, lips and nails. It also helps to get rid of negative emotion. Serenity, on the other hand, is a little less versatile, but still can add a magnetic charm to eyes and nails. Now lets take a look at how we can incorporate these two stunning shades in our beauty routine.
