It lather ups well, but that could mean that it contains SLS! The amount needed depends on your hair length and how much you want to lather it up. I have shoulder length hair and I need about 3/4th of a tbsp for one wash. Using every alternative day, one bottle of Biotique Bio Walnut Bark Body Building Shampoo goes on for a bit more than a month

It is meant for fine & thinning hair, which I partially have. The shampoo does everything it should other than the main one; It didn’t help much in making my hair thick.
