I am back with another review – Beauty Secrets Glow Face Pack Review. Glowing skin not just looks comely to ones eyes but also reflects proper nourishment. But before beginning with the post of the day, I’d like to bash a few sources that have established incorrect notions of glow in our mind. Films, TV advertisements and pop culture have lulled us into believing that glowing skin= fair skin= skin one should covet. Now that is sheer absurdity and low self-esteem at its best for me. Its no secret that the dark-skinned in fact, those with tanned, dusky or olive skin in India and South Asia more specifically (yes, our neighbors too share this obsession for fairness without paying heed to the fact that we are predominantly dusky) are subjected to a lot of demeaning stares, catcalls, outrageous names etc.
Coming to the topic of glowing skin, I have been asked time and again as to what is the difference between fair skin and glowing skin, to which I always come up with Deepika Padukone has glowing skin. Angelina Jolie has fair skin. Get the distinction? And that, takes nothing?away from the physical beauty of these two ladies. Anyway, today I will review Beauty Secrets Glow Face Pack. What I expected from it was to have radiant (and not fair), smooth and blemish-free skin because for me, thats the definition of glowing skin 🙂 Having used it for a week now, I will share Beauty Secrets Glow Face Pack Review on my parameters of evaluation.
Price of Beauty Secrets Glow Face Pack : Rs.850/- for 20 applications.?Rs.1500/- for 40 applications (It is custom-made hence, smaller and bigger-sized packs can be availed. The price will vary with the quantity/size of the pack).
Directions for use : Make a smooth paste by mixing 1 tbsp of the face pack with some water/rosewater/curd. Apply on face. Wait for 20 minutes for it to dry. Then scrub with curd for a minute and wash it off.
Ingredients : Milk extracts, saffron, manjishtha, red sandalwood and many other herbs
Shelf life : Once opened, the pack has to be necessarily stored in the freezer to keep the freshness intact. This way it can last up to anywhere between 6-8 months.
Color : off white
Smell : Very mild and pleasant

My experience with Beauty Secrets Glow Face Pack
Beauty Secrets Glow Face Pack is packed in exactly the same way as the other face packs from the enterprise are, that is, a pretty plastic box with a steel spoon inside and the main ingredient held in a plastic pack. Everythings hunky dory except the plastic pack holding the main ingredient because I find it too flimsy and fragile to store the main powder. Had this not been the case, the packaging would have been immaculate 🙂 Hence, there’s scope for some improvement since all other features (in terms of packaging) have been taken care of. Once the plastic pack is opened, the powder can be stored in the plastic box. The provision of the steel spoon displays concern and detailing on part of the manufacturers which is praiseworthy 🙂 Just a bit of tweaking and it’ll be flawless.
Beauty Secrets Glow Face Pack is slightly coarsely powdered and assists in scrubbing ones skin which rids one off dead skin layers. It can be mixed with the base ingredient one wishes to as per ones skin type and availability. For instance, those with acne-prone skin, can mix the powder with neem water. Those with oily skin, can mix it with lemon juice and so on. The set of instructions are suggestions. You can tweak them. I find it suitable for all skin types since its 100% herbal with zero preservatives.
I mix this one with curd since curd is loaded with lactic acid which augments the glow. Once applied, it takes around 15 minutes to dry. The time taken to dry varies according to the base ingredient you’ve used. Once I wash my face with enough water, my skin feels soft, supple, clearer than usual and of course, glowing. The glow is subtle so, don’t expect me to glow like an LED bulb, but there’s glow for sure. It has done a commendable job in drawing out dirt as well as tiredness too 🙂
Beauty Secrets Glow Face Pack is surely an effective product, which deserves a try.
