Banjaras Hibiscus Hair Care Powder Review

Hello beauties! This time I will be sharing Banjaras Hibiscus Hair Care Powder Review. Who would not love healthy, lustrous and silky smooth tresses? Instead of relying on those highly raved but usually nugatory hair treatments that burn a hole in one’s pockets why not take a few steps back and go natural? Nature, after all, has all the solutions to our hair care woes 🙂 I had heard my grandmother was lyrical of the wonder plant- hibiscus. I asked her how to incorporate hibiscus in my hair care routine and her reply was that hibiscus can be used in any form- be it powdered or the flower wholly. Since the plant is seasonal so I thought of purchasing hibiscus powder so that it is at my service year round 🙂 This is how I came across Banjaras Hibiscus Hair Care Powder.

My experience with Banjaras Hibiscus Hair Care Powder

I have quite long hair thanks to my mom, who too has really long as well as strong tresses. Naturally, it calls for a lot of care and maintenance. While she uses Henna to conditon her hair and cover greys, I rely on my curd and fenugreek powder mixture. When I heard about Banjaras Hibiscus Hair Care Powder, I thought of incorporating a few changes in my hair care routine to test its claims and suitability.

I mixed a sachet of Banjara’s hibiscus hair care powder with water as was suggested and whisked it so avoid the formation of any lumps which would make the application tedious. There are 5 sachets of 20 g each in the box which is really convenient since they can be carried easily while travelling. You just have to mix it with water which is available everywhere as opposed to ingredients such as- coconut milk, curd, etc. the availability of which is subject to the place you are staying. Hence, in terms of packaging, it is easy to carry due to the provision of sachets and travel-friendly.

The powder is fine in texture so mixing it is a cakewalk. Once mixed, the paste is very smooth and consistent in appearance so much so that you’d start imagining a bowl of mashed strawberries in front of you 🙂

Anyway, I applied this paste on my hair and waited for 30 minutes as opposed to the 20 minutes-urtion which was suggested and washed my hair with cold water. It was a cakewalk to get rid of the paste and after letting my hair dry, I noticed softer and shinier tresses. I know it sounds far-fetched that I noted results from the very first usage but maybe because I have been using herbal DIYs on my hair, so its effect was faster in case of my hair (as my hair and scalp would be accustomed to DIYs) 🙂

My hair was relatively more manageable and the scalp felt cleansed, cool and less irritated. It is incredulous that merely two ingredients (water and this?hibiscus hair powder) have been so useful in combating my hair issues. I don’t suffer from hair fall, premature greying and dandruff so can’t comment about its efficacy or the lack of it in taming these woes but it surely softened, smoothened and imparted a visibe shine to my hair. Also, there was no dryness post washing. I simply shampooed my hair with my Holy Grail hair saviour- Bon Organics Herbal shampoo and no conditioner thereafter.

Overall, for dry and normal hair, Banjaras Hibiscus Hair Care Powder will work wonders if used properly and consistently. For oily hair, a little more than a sachet might be required to rid oneself off all the excess oil. All in all, it is an excellent solution that leaves you with lustrous locks and that too naturally.

  1. I like Banjara’s products..very affordable and effective. But I have heard generally hibiscus powder is used for dyeing and gives a reddish tint to hair. Does this powder from Banjara’s give any color?

    • I have black hair Archana and have used it four times by now. It hasn’t imparted any red tinge thankfully 🙂
Actually even I’ve heard the same but it could be that our knowledge regarding the same is incomplete. For instance- It is widely known that using lemon juice on one’s hair lightens the prevailing hair shade but that happens only when you step out in the sun. So, it could be that in combination with other ingredients such as beetroot juice or henna, hibiscus could impart a red tinge but I use it with coconut milk mostly so it hasn’t imparted any such tinge 🙂

  2. I have earlier used banjara’s ritha, amla, methi, bhrigraj and shikakai powder. They are awesome. Will try this one too.

    • Go ahead Ankita 🙂 It’s mild, so won’t harm. Add to that, you have had really amazing experiences with other powders from Banjaras so I see no reason why it won’t work for you. Have a nice experience 🙂

  3. i have heard quite a lot about this one…will try next..nice review btw nidhal…

  4. Can we use shampoo as this mixture won’t get off hair properly only with water

  5. Can we pour this powders to our oil bottel and leave it….as we use other ingredients in our oil bottel.?
