Soap dries out skin and clots the pores. Like you use shampoos and conditioners on your hair instead of soap then why using soap on your face? Use a facial cleanser anyone in the market, to wash off the dirt and makeup. After cleansing prepare your skin for moisturize, twice a day or at least once. So, here is a natural homemade powder cleanser for you to have a soothing face every day. Self life of this recipe is 1 year.

Natural home-made cleanser 

Ingredients ⇓

  • Soy milk powder – 1 tsp
  • Coconut milk powder – ½ tsp
  • Oat flour – ½ tsp
  • Besan – ½ tsp
  • Fenugreek powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric – 1/8 tsp

Take a clean & dry airtight container. Add 1 tsp of soy milk powder as it is an anti-aging and repairs UV damage. Soy milk powder hydrates your skin and softens. Add ½ tsp of coconut milk powder as it is an alternate for soy milk powder too. Coconut milk powder when added gives creamy texture to the cleanser and also hydrates the skin by holding in the moisture. Add ½ tsp of oat flour, when added to water gives soap like substance. Add ½ tsp of chickpea flour or besan, which is used in many of the facial masks and helps to take out the extra sebum on your skin. Add 1 tsp of fenugreek powder, works as an anti-aging since it has B3 and helps heeling damaged skin and when added to water becomes milky. At last, add 1/8 tsp of turmeric, has anti-bacterial property that kills bacteria and germs on skin, increases your skin complexion and gives you a beautiful glow. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Take a small amount of mixture you need add few drops of water depending on the consistency of the paste you want to be thick or thin. Scrub it all over your face just as you with chemical face wash.

For different skin types

The above recipe is for dry, sensitive, normal and mature skin. Add 1 tbsp more of besan for oily skin, as besan helps remove the extra oil on your skin. Add ½ tsp more of soy milk powder and ½ tsp of besan for combination skin. For gentle exfoliating cleanser add 1 tbsp more of oat flour to the above recipe. For acne prone skin add 1 tbsp more of fenugreek powder. You can also put it as a mask and wash off with warm water then you are done with a smooth and soft skin.
