Winter is fully in. And with winter, comes dry lips/chapped lips. We often spend a lot of time and money in getting different skin care product for our face and body. And somehow end up ignoring our lips until they become extremely dry and painful. So keeping a lip balm is always handy. Today I will be sharing VLCC Daily Protect Strawberry Lip Balm Review. Pink lips aren’t just appealing and comely to look at but also a sign of nourishment, proper maintenance, upkeep and health to an extent. And what better than our Good Ol’ lip balms to achieve those luscious lips? After all Sunny Leone too croons to the tunes of her “Pink Lips” 🙂
This VLCC Daily Protect Strawberry Lip Balm, to the best of my usually short-lived memory, happens to the first lip balm I ever purchased. It is my personal experience?and so those are authentically interested in purchasing it should not base their decision solely on my personal experience 🙂 There is no “One size fits all” formula when it comes to skin, hair and body care (which includes lips) 🙂 What works for me may not work for you and vice versa. So, in such cases, you shouldn’t generalise unless a great many people have praised or criticised the product in unison. Anyway, let’s now jump straight to the VLCC Daily Protect Strawberry Lip Balm Review.
Price of VLCC Daily Protect Strawberry Lip Balm :Rs.60/- for 4 gm
Direction for use : Glide on lips for soft, moisturized lips. Use daily. Apply as often as desired.
Ingredients :Not mentioned
Shelf life :36 months
Color : Slightly red. It isn’t blood red or vampire red. But a pleasing shade of red which imparts its tinge to lips when applied.
Smell :A mild sweet strawberry-like whiff. It stays for sometime but vanishes overtime. However, the aroma is pleasing to nose and won’t irritate those with overly sensitive noses 🙂
What VLCC Daily Protect Strawberry Lip Balm claims
The VLCC Daily Protect Strawberry Lip Balms light, non greasy formula provides instant moisturization, leaving the lips soft and hydrated. It also contains SPF 15, which protects the lips from harmful effects of sun
My experience with VLCC Daily Protect Strawberry Lip Balm
Packed in a plastic roll-on tube, VLCC Daily Protect Strawberry Lip Balm is easy to use, travel-friendly, hygienic and is easy to carry. However, one major drawback of its packaging is that the balm gets stuck sometimes in the tube and sometimes after it has been pushed up by rolling the base hence, is very difficult to use overtime. That’s one problem that I have encountered with the packages of all its variants. Time to rework on the packaging VLCC!
VLCC Daily Protect Strawberry Lip Balm keeps your lips well moisturized for 1.5-2 hours if you have dry/normal lips. Mine aren’t dry so in case of extremely dry/parched lips, it would work for lesser time. The tint is very eye-pleasing and not at all “in-your-face”. It imparts a very natural red tinge to your lips that doesn’t look deliberately contrived/fake. Moreover, for the price one is paying the quantity also seems apt. Its texture is fine hence, glides smoothly on one’s lips. Usually 2-3 swipes are sufficient to produce the tint. Also, if you have slightly pigmented lips, this is effective in covering them but not for extremely pigmented lips. If you have naturally pink lips, then it enhances the pink tone of your lips and boy! that looks extremely eye-pleasing 🙂
In my case, all its variants have worked both in summers and in winters. Still, if you live in highly tropical regions where the temperature rises to the hilt, it is susceptible to melting but that would be a rare case. To prevent that, you can keep it in the refrigerator.?I live in Delhi and it needs no elaboration on how ‘pleasant’ Delhi’s weather is during May and June! Even then it didn’t melt.
Overall, this might not be the best of all balms out there in the market but is surely a winner in its price range. If you are on a tight/shoestring budget, this balm won’t pinch your pocket and will deliver well on most parameters. I find it good enough to be re-purchased.

GGood detailed Review
@Himanshi- Thank you 🙂 both the cherry and strawberry flavour are good. I haven’t tried the honey one faring who’d like to sport yellow lips but will try it out once I read a few people praise it 🙂
@kiran- Thanks again 🙂
Nice review dear…very detailed
Thanks Pallavi. In this price range, it is indeed a wondrous balm. Sadly, most have criticised it. I find it unfair to compare it on the same parameters on which a Baby lips or a Burts bees lip balm are evaluated. How can I compare a Rs 60/- worth lip balm with a Rs 150 or 400 rupees balm? That will unnecessarily pull it down!
