This film had mixed reactions but it has a lot to offer from scintillating background to invigorating costumes of royal families and what not. In this post, I will be talking about Sonam Kapoor Look in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo. While our lively and sassy Sonam Kapoor aka Rajkumari Maithili was seen in mesmerizing outfits like colorful lehenga cholis in the title track of Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, Pastel anarkali in the song Jab tum Chaho Paas Aate ho and purple sari in the song Jalte Diye. What I found common in her looks is that she mostly sported different shades of red lipstick which made her look rich and royal like a true princess.
Sonam Kapoors Look in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo – Look 1 in Title Track
In the song of Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, Sonam is seen sporting a bright orange-magenta combination lehenga Choli. The color of her choli and Lehenga is deep magenta with a zari borders. For a change one can even style a magenta lehenga with yellow or golden dupatta. The net dupatta has sparkling bling dots which adds oomph to her outfit. Such a color combination is great for daytime parties especially wedding ceremonies, a great a color combination for bride as well as her bridesmaids. While she danced to the tunes of Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo and her combination of magenta and gold bangles kept on doing the ‘Khann Khann’ throughout.
Sonam Kapoors Look in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo – Look 2 in Title Track
In another look from the title track Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, Sonam Kapoor sported a lime yellow combination ghagra choli. The zardosi work on her ghagra choli complimented her exhilarating look and rosy complexion. For an extra touch of tradition to any ethnic wear one can adorn jewellery pieces as sported by Rajkumari Maithili in the movie. For her jewellery she wore a choker neckpiece and long jhumkas and a golden tiara & maangtika. As far as her hair is concerned it was neatly tucked into a bun. One can adorn long jhumkas and a maangtika with any ethnic wear and pull it as that as less is more. Similarly a choker necklace can also be complimented with golden drop earrings too to keep the look simple.
Sonam Kapoors Look in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo – Look 3 in Title Track
Sonam Kapoor gave the signature dance style of Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo song wearing an outfit of red and white combination. While everyone applauded her for swift waist movements she looked amazing in a lehenga sari with golden zari temple work and red-golden detailed border. One can actually attach such heavy worked borders in simple clothing and give it a great makeover. Our princess Sonam Kapoor is looking ravishing as she is sporting heavy neckpieces, matching maangtika and studs. This says a lot about how to style jewellery so that one can put one piece of jewellery in the spotlight. In order to maintain balance along with heavy choker and long necklace she chose to wear small studs and nailed it totally.
Sonam Kapoors Look in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo – Look 1 in Jab Tum Chaho Song
Our beautiful Sonam Kapoor aka Rajkumari Maithili chose to wear pastel combination anarkali in this song Jab Tum Chaho Paas Aate Ho. She is seen complaining in a cute manner and looks extremely adorable in her mannerisms. Her beige and artic blue shaded long gown anarkali had long sleeves with puffed layers around the wrist, while her similar shaded dupatta had a bling border to it. Her hair do was simple, which was twisted around the frontal part and had semi curls at the ends. Pastel shades can compliment Asian skin, so next time you are not too sure about an ethnic wear because it looks too heavily worked, pick one in pastel and believe me it will never look over done. To complete her look she sported long dangling earpieces and thats all.
Sonam Kapoors Look in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo – Look 2 in Jab Tum Chaho Song
Our cheeky and lively Sonam Kapoor rocked another unusual combination of striped pink and yellow Lehenga Choli. The choli consisted of magenta strips while the ghagra has multicolor stripes on it. It denotes the bubbly nature of a princess. Her jewellery took away our attention as her long detailed pearl-kundan neckpiece was something too difficult to ignore. It added a sense of being a Khandani jewellery set. Her dupatta complimented her look with its sparkling dots and zari border. Not to forget other two highlights of this look was again Sonams royal nose ring and bold red lips.
Sonam Kapoors Look in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo – in Jalte Diye Song
While our beautiful princess Sonam kapoor was looking bubbly in most of the songs, this is one part ( Jalte Diye song) where her look was sensuous and simply beautiful. She chose to wear a chiffon mauve colored sari with zardosi work on it teamed along a deep neck blouse. Her winged eyeliner and wavy long hair added oomph to her look. A sparkling bindi, silver drop earrings and diamond hand jewellery was enough to complete her look. She can give any 90’s heroine chiffon sari looks a run for their money. Jokes apart, one can sport monochrome chiffon saris and sport few pieces of light jewellery to get this look from Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo.
Personally I am a fan of Sonam Kapoor for she is a diva in real life who can carry any outfit with ease, all she needs to do is flash that million dollar smile she has. In every look Sonam Kapoor has a striking resemblance with modern princess of present times which makes her look all the more interesting to watch.
