And for us, Diwali is synonymous with crackers, lights, sweets, gifts and of course Diwali celebrations and parties. These celebrations are incomplete without new dress and lovely makeup. When I went for Diwali shopping earlier this month, I bought a number of makeup items, including this Maybelline Color Show Lipstick Orange Icon.

Orange is very much “IN” these days. And I, personally wanted to get an orange lipstick since long! But was somehow worried whether the shade will suit me or not. Maybelline recently introduced 32 new shades of Color Show lipstick. These lipsticks are of vibrant shades and totally suitable for Indian skin tone. I got my hands on the ‘cherry crush’ shade from this range earlier and was pretty happy with that. So I chose Maybelline Color Show range to buy my first orange lipstick – ‘Orange Icon’. My experience with Maybelline Color Show Lipstick Orange Icon

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick Orange Icon has regular black colored plastic packaging. The lipstick case has a shiny color-band in the middle for easy identification of shade. The bottom of the case also has the shade name and color coding done. The cap sits tightly and you can carry it with you without any fear of smearing lipstick all around.

The bullet looks bright orange, but Maybelline Color Show Lipstick Orange Icon is actually a warm coral shade with pink undertone. Upon wearing, it brightens up the face instantly. The shade is best suited for medium to fair skin tone. It glides smoothly on the lips and doesn’t settle into fine lines. It bleeds a little from the corners, but nothing that a touch of compact can’t solve!

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick Orange Icon has a fruity fragrance that goes off after a couple of minutes of application. The lipstick is neither glossy, not matte. It moisturizes the lips nicely and gives a lovely sheen. The color pay off is good as well. One swipe gives nice color and you can go for 2-3 swipes to build up a little bit.

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick Orange Icon moisturizes my lips well and feels light on lips too. You don’t really need to apply lip balm underneath. The lipstick stays for 3-4 hours, but you need to reapply after any snack or meal.

Overall, Maybelline Color Show Lipstick Orange Icon is a lovely coral shade with pink undertone. It instantly brightens up the face and keeps lips moisturized without any sticky feeling. Not a bad deal in this price range!
