How to make earring with peacock feather
Hello everyone 🙂 A very happy Krishna Janmashtami to you all. How are you celebrating your day? I am going to keep fast :). Anyways lets come to the topic, today I am going to share a DIY with you guys. You must have seen Krishna ji wearing peacock feather and thus I though why not do something related to peacock feather? Since, peacock feather is considered as the ornament of Krishna ji, I’m making Earring from the same so that I can contribute my part on this auspicious day. J I hope you enjoy the tutorial.
Let’s get started. 🙂
- Two Peacock Feather
- Earring hook
- Some beads
Step 1: Cut the feather according to desired length; I prefer short earring so I am keeping the length short as you can see in the pictures. If you’re comfortable carrying long earrings then go for long length. Keep the length 2 inches extra then you need because we are going to add beads too.:)
Step2: After cutting, stripped the feather pieces from the sides so that you can add beads and earring hook easily.
Step3: Now insert bead from the step of feature. I am adding only one bead here because as I told that I prefer short earring but you can add 2-3 also (depends on you). After inserting the bead, insert the earring hook also. (Make sure the earring hook is facing back side of the feature so that you can wear it easily).
Step4: Now apply glue on the stem of feature and push the stem in the hole of the beads (doesit make sense? :P). See images to understand what I’m trying to say. This will keep the hook intact and sturdy.
Step5: Clean the excess glue from the hook and stem and VOILA…. Your DIY peacock feather earrings are ready! 😀 😀
You can also trim the features if you think the earrings are long in size. Repeat the above five steps again for other earring too but make sure the length is same of both. 🙂
