My experience with Inveda Sun Screen Cream Gel

Inveda Sun Screen Cream Gel comes packed in a plastic tube with a delectable golden cap and a nozzle inside, the packaging is handy, hygienic, sturdy and travel-friendly. On account of packaging, it is up to the mark and for those who look for aesthetic value in a product, this product looks eye-pleasing too.

The texture of Inveda Sun Screen Cream Gel is a mix of cream and gel, like it is said in the name of the product itself. The fragrance is mild, persists for a few minutes but dissipates within a few minutes. However, the texture is not light-weight. Your skin will feel that something artificial and heavy is applied on it. Though it doesn’t completely protect one’s skin (some amount of tanning is inevitable if the summers at their peak) but it doesn’t disappoint sorely.

I don’t think Inveda Sun Screen Cream Gel will suit oily skin at all since it can clog pores and lead to pimple formation. It is after all, a bit heavy in texture. However, for dry and normal skin, this won’t be a major concern unless you slap a good dose of it on your skin. As far as its staying power is concerned, it stayed well for around 1.5-2 hours for my skin and this neither gravely disappointing nor very overwhelming. It is average.

Overall, Inveda Sun Screen Cream Gel is an average product. Given the price and the fact that it is paraben-free (as is printed on its pacakge), its staying power is average. Even though it claims to be for all skin types, I don’t find it suitable for oily skin since it can clog pores due to its slightly heavy texture. Dry and normal skin can still go for but it won’t be the best bet. Better options are available.

  1. Thanks for the review… Since its mentioned as a gel, I thought it might suit oily skin people like me. But looks like it won’t.. I will skip it…

  2. @Archana- I know it is a bit confusing. It is written ‘sun screen cream gel’. Ab isko koi kya interpret kare- Cream gel? 😛 If you have oily or acne-prone skin, then in winters it may still work but during summers, chances are high that it will break your skin out. It is heavy and comedogenic.

  3. I love inveda products but this seems not that good

  4. I have used inveda scrub and it was divine. .thus looks like a dud 🙂
