Before you start doing your nail art, the first thing you need to do is to prepare your nails. Here’s how to do it
- Remove your old nail polish with a nail polish remover.
- Clean your nails. Take a nail filer and use its pointed tip to take out the dirt from the nail.
- File your nails properly.
- Push the cuticles with an orange stick.
- Wash your hands and nails and let them dry completely.
- Now is the time to apply base coat. Base coat will not only protect the nails, but also make the nail art design to stay longer.
- Now we are going to discuss few easy nail art designs that can be created at home.
Floral nail art
Choose three nail colors. One will act as base (on which the design will be created), one for the petals of the flowers and one for the centre of the flower. Now using a toothpick draw a triangle of three dots on 2-3 different places on your nail. These are the petals of the flower. Once the dots are completely dry, put a white dot in the centre of each of those triangles. Now they will take the shape of flowers. Apply top coat to seal the design.
Gradient nail art
Gradient nail art design looks little difficult to make, but can be done easily with a sponge. To create this design, first pick two nail colors that go well with each other. Take a sponge and apply those nail colors next to each other on the sponge. Dab the sponge on your nails. Repeat twice or thrice until you get your desired gradient nail art design. Take some nail polish remover on a Q-tip and clean up the sides of the nails. Finally apply top coat to even out the color and seal the design.
Fishnet nail art
Loofah will help you to get a beautiful fishnet design on your nails. Apply a nail polish of your choice. Let it dry completely. Now place the loofah net over your nails and paint it with another color of your choice. Gently remove that loofah and you are done. Black and white is the best color for this fishnet nail art. But you can choose any two colors that complement each other.
Simple chic nail art
This is a very simple yet very chic nail art design. Paint your nails with white nail polish. Now paint a black curved line on each of your nail and finally fill them up with black nail polish. Seal the design with top coat.
Gold glitter nail art
Add some gold to your nails. First, paint your nails with any bright color nail polish, like plum, red, orange, black etc. Let it dry. Next apply a clear top coat up to half of your nails. While the top coat is still wet, sprinkle some golden glitter on your nails. Seal it with another layer of top coat and your glamorous gold nails are ready.
