Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion Review – Hi girls, Today my post is about Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion Review. Summers are at their peak and with them comes a major skin problem of tanning . Nobody wants tanned and dull face. So,we really are left with no choice but to grab a good sunscreen for ourselves. I have tried many sunscreens in past like Lakme, Nature’s, Meladerm, Ayur etc. And I really hate the thickness of sunscreens. I wanted a product that is at least a bit light in texture. On recommendation of a cousin, I grabbed Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion this time.

Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion Review
Before I go to the review, I would like to share some very useful information provided on the pack of this lotion. The initiative of guiding it’s consumers by Himalaya Herbals impressed me so much that I decided to buy it that very moment. Check out my review below.
Read below for the tips
- Limit exposure to the sun from 11 am to 4 pm, this is when the sun’s rays are strongest.
- Shield yourself with an umbrella, hat, sunglasses and also long-sleeved clothing when you go out. These physically block out the sun’s harmful rays.
- Use broad-spectrum sunscreens with active ingredients that block both UVA as well as UVB rays.
- Sunscreens should be used every day, including cloudy days.
- Sunscreens should be applied liberally and evenly before going outdoors during the day.
- Use sunscreens with SPF 15 at least. This offers adequate protection for everyday use.

Rs. 175/-for 100 ml. Rs. 110/- for 50 ml.
I always take a smaller pack, initially. So that if I do not like the product, It does not become a liability.
Direction for use : Apply liberally on exposed skin like face, neck and arms before going outdoors during the day. Avoid the area around eyes.
Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion Ingredients :
Shelf Life : 3 years
Colour : The lotion is having a white color.
Smell : It is a very mild smelling product. I cannot even appreciate it’s fragrance after 2 minutes of application. The fragrance goes off real fast.

My Experience with Himalaya Herbals Protective Sunscreen Lotion
It comes in a routine white Himalaya’s bottle. It has a green flip open cap to dispense the product. Please be careful with the cap. I found it a bit delicate. The bottle is opaque. So, you cannot see the quantity of product left.
The consistency is medium. I find it a little runnier than Lakme sunscreens. It spreads well. The thickness is not irritatingly thick. However, it tends to make my T zone a little oily after an hour or so. Do cover it up with a powder based compact, it helps a little.
I would not call it a wonder product and also I really can’t comment about the anti ageing effects, so far. However,it is a decent product as well as spreads on face well. I usually mix it up with a little bit of moisturiser. It acts fine as a sunscreen. The formula prevented further tanning for me.
I need to mention here that my total sun exposure is a total of 20 minutes in a day. For those, who do field work, I suggest higher SPF is better. The product makes my T zone a bit oily. It moisturizes well and also does not break me out.
