Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair Review

Hello all 🙂 Today I will be sharing Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair Review. Summer in Calcutta is horrible, to say the least. The sweaty, sultry days make life difficult . Not only my skin suffers, but my hair does too! Summer heat makes my scalp sweaty and oily. And oily scalp attracts more dirt and grime, making hair oily as well. So I was in the look out for a good clarifying shampoo and then I came across this Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair. I was not aware that Habibs make shampoos too. With the excitement of trying out something new, I immediately placed order on flipkart.

Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair Review

Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair is a rare mix of lemon and mint for optimum conditioning of scalp and to remove excessive scalp oils. Lemon has natural astringent and toning properties which are highly beneficial  for oily hair and scalp. It removes excess oil from the scalp without disturbing its natural ph level. Lemon makes hair shiny and adds volume. Mint also control excess oil production of scalp which may cause our hair to feel weigh down.  Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair claims to be a corrective shampoo formulated for fine, limp and oily hair. But does it really work? Read below my Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair Review to find out the answer.

My experience with Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair

Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair comes in a white plastic bottle with a flip open cap. Under the cap sits a small hole which beautifully controls the amount of product you are taking out. The bottle itself is quite sturdy and totally travel friendly. It is a transparent green colored shampoo. The consistency is quite runny. It bears a strong herbal smell, which feels quite refreshing, specially when you are applying the shampoo on hair.

The shampoo spreads easily and lathers up quite well. Here I must mention that Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair is a SLES based shampoo. SLES is more compatible to the skin and hair and less harmful than SLS. Habibs has clearly stated on the bottle that the shampoo is SLES based. I feel its appreciable that they haven’t hidden it from the consumers.

I generally use this shampoo once in a week. Post wash, hair feels squeaky clean and so does the scalp. I love that feeling of freshly cleaned hair everytime I use Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair. It adds a beautiful shine to the hair and hair remains oil free for 3 -4 days. However, after a few washes, hair might feel slightly dry. So it is better to follow up with a conditioner. This is a great shampoo for oily and limp hair, but normal to dry hair people should stay away from this.

Overall, Habibs Shampoo with Lemon and Mint for Oily Hair is a good clarifying shampoo. It removes the oil from scalp and hair and gives that freshly cleaned feeling. It is a great shampoo for oily hair, specially in summer. However the formula is SLES based, so its completely up to you whether to pick it or not.
