Makeup for Indian wedding should be gorgeous and bold. And the trick lies in a flawless base makeup. Here I would suggest you to go for a heavy base. This is what I normally do – on my clean face, I apply my Lakme CC cream. It gives a beautiful coverage and adapts to our skin tone nicely. Also it hydrates the skin nicely which is a must for flawless makeup. Once done with my CC cream, I apply my foundation and then follow it up with concealer. My choice of foundation for an Indian wedding makeup is something that gives a nice dewy look to the face, it looks very glamorous.
When it comes to concealer, go for something that gives natural coverage. We already have CC cream and foundation on the face and there is not much left to cover up. So apply concealer wisely, so that it doesn’t look cakey.
Now that the base makeup is done, lets focus onto eye makeup now. Start with filling the eyebrows with a long lasting eye shadow that matches perfectly with your skin tone. Indian wedding makeup is incomplete without gorgeous eye makeup. So choose gold and bronze eye shadows. Blend them nicely to get the flawless look. Line your eyes nicely, here you can go with your choice – bold or thin whatever you like. Another important part of eye makeup is mascara and so, I would tell you to apply lots of mascara to add the drama to the eyes.
Apply blush and highlighter carefully. Choose a blush that complements your skin tone the best. Be generous with your highlighter as it adds a ‘glam touch’ to the entire look. Finally its time for lipstick and since its about traditional Indian wedding makeup, so choose a bold lip color of your choice.
Don’t forget to accessorize. Go for heavy accessories to take your look to the next level. And put on a bindi to complete the traditional Indian Wedding Makeup look.
