Essence 3D Eyeshadow 02 Irresistible Lavender Dream Review – Eyeshadow – when worn in a right shade and blended well – can brighten up our face. Essence 3D Eyeshadow 02 Irresistible Lavender Dream is my first eyeshadow from Essence. It came in one of my Fab bags recently. I don’t know why, but the packaging looked little worn out. I don’t know if it was the case with me only, or actually there is any problem with the packaging. Essence 3D Eyeshadow 02 Irresistible Lavender Dream is a dual colored shimmery eyeshadow. Essence is a famous drugstore beauty brand from Europe. All Essence products are made of highest quality standards, are super affordable and are not animal-tested. Essence has a really good range of eyeshadows, specially this 3D range has beautiful shimmery shades. Essence 3D Eyeshadow 02 Irresistible Lavender Dream comes with a 3mm-high relief design that offers an ultimate 3D look. It claims to have soft and ultra-light texture. Essence 3D Eyeshadow range has 9 gorgeous shimmery shades. Each palette contains a highlighting shade and a darker shade. My experience with Essence 3D Eyeshadow 02 Irresistible Lavender Dream

Lets start with the packaging. Essence 3D Eyeshadow 02 Irresistible Lavender Dream comes in a small and round clear pan with a clear cap. The see-through lid helps to pick the shade of your choice. The eyeshadow container is super lightweight. However, I am not too impressed with the packaging. Firstly, it looks little old and secondly, it is not exactly sturdy. Also the eyeshadow pan doesn’t contain any mirror and/or applicator brush.

Essence 3D Eyeshadow 02 Irresistible Lavender Dream is a dual colored eyeshadow palette. It contains one highlighting shade – silver and one darker shade – purple. Both the shades have fine shimmers. The eyeshadows are drawn out in wavy pattern and there is no seperator in between. But that doesn’t cause any difficulty in application. The texture is smooth and finely milled. Both the shades blend like a dream. I absolutely love the purple shade, it can be used to create a variety of eye makeup. Purple eyeshadow is a great choice for summer as well. The silver shade creates a 3D effect which gives a different dimension to the eye makeup. Both the shades are beautiful and can be worn together or individually.

Talking about pigmentation, Essence 3D Eyeshadow 02 Irresistible Lavender Dream has medium pigmentation. One needs a few swipes to get the true color. But if used in wet condition, the color looks intense and more beautiful. Also, if you apply it over the primer, the color looks perfectly opaque and super rich. The eyeshadow gives a beautiful pearly, shimmery finish. None of the shades look overly glittery or shimmery. The shimmers actually add a beautiful metallic shine to the shades. Coming to the staying power, none of the shades of Essence 3D Eyeshadow 02 Irresistible Lavender Dream stays on my eyelid for more than 5 hours, without a primer. Also, they tend to crease after some time. Using an eyeshadow primer not only adds to the intensity of the shades, but also increases their staying power.

Overall, Essence 3D Eyeshadow 02 Irresistible Lavender Dream is a nice combination of silver and purple shade. The shades comes with finely milled shimmers, but nothing too gritty. The smooth texture allows for easy application. The staying power is little less, but using a primer fix this problem. A budget friendly, decent eyeshadow for beginners.
