Hola head-turners 🙂 Dabur is one such brand that needs no elaboration to an Indian. From its hair oils to its toothpaste, from it puke-inducing Chawanpraash to skin care products, Dabur has been used for long by an Indian consumer 🙂 Today, I will be sharing Dabur Vatika Fairness Face Pack Review. I purchased it from my neighboring cosmetic store since Daburs’ products are readily available and entail zero hassles when it comes to finding them. Check out how Dabur Vatika Fairness Face Pack fared for me.
However, before formally commencing with the review, I would like to clarify that I, in no way, promote fair skin to dusky/tanned/dark skin. We, Indians suffer from a colonial hangover which shows very well in our slavish obsession with fairness and which even manifests itself from the fact that we go to great lengths to achieve a lighter skin by way of surgeries (which cost a bomb) and skin lightening products (which are in plain words- USELESS). Anyway, I wanted to test Dabur Vatika Fairness Face Pack’s claim of imparting a fair look to ones face which is why, I purchased it and here goes my?Dabur Vatika Fairness Face Pack Review.

What Dabur Vatika Fairness Face Pack claims
Dabur vatika fairness face pack works gently from within. It helps to remove dead skin cells, blemishes and alter the melanin formation of your skin, making you naturally fair in just four weeks.
My experience with Dabur Vatika Fairness Face Pack
Packed in a plastic tube with a cap at its end (not a flip-open one), the packaging of Dabur Vatika Fairness Face Pack although it travel-friendly, hygienic and sturdy, can be improved. The provision of a flip-open cap would facilitate usage. However, even if we turn a blind eye to that, the packaging is up to the mark for me.
Dabur Vatika Fairness Face Pack’s texture is smooth. It spreads easily on ones face and a pea-sized amount is sufficient to cover ones entire face as well as neck. Once mixed with a little water, applied on ones face and allowed to dry for 15 minutes, there’s a soothing aroma that pervades the air and refreshes ones mind. Once washed off with cold water, ones left with a squeaky clean and radiant skin. It doesn’t dry out ones skin so, those with dry skin can use it with abandon however, those with extremely dry skin may have to slap a liberal amount of a moisturizer to seal the moisture.
The fairness factor which would have compelled dimwits to opt for it is nowhere to be seen. It is just a temporary glow and cannot be sustained. So, please don’t fall victim to the claim that it imparts fairness. How can one single product do that? If it could, wouldn’t every person with a low self -esteem and denigrating self-opinion opt for it to make himself/ herself fair? And most importantly, why would you want to shut people by changing your skin color and not by something more noteworthy? I know a lot of people are catcalled and viewed as second-rate citizens because of their dusky Indian skin tone but there are myriad ways to shut them up than to opt for skin lightening! Anyway, all that rant on skin lightening will be up on some other day. The bottom line is that it imparts a squeaky clean look to your face as well as some glow but not fairness. And the glow is temporary/transient.
Also, it comes packed with an overarching number of chemicals so, if you still want to go for it, use with caution.
Overall, Dabur Vatika Fairness Face Pack imparts a temporary glow and a squeaky clean look to ones face but not fairness.
