Sensitive skin has to suffer from a lot of skin issues. Some people have naturally sensitive skin. But too much exposure to sun and pollution can also increase the sensitivity of any skin and over time, it turns into sensitive skin. It is a must to take extra care of sensitive skin. But its also true that sensitive skin is very difficult to take care of, because you just can’t apply anything on skin as it might irritate the skin or break you out anytime. So how to deal with sensitive skin? In this post, we have shared the best face masks for sensitive skin which will nourish the skin and also take care of the sensitivity.

Banana mask for sensitive skin    

You will need : Mashed banana (½), cooked oatmeal, egg, honey

Take the ½ mashed banana and to this, add ¼ cup cooked oatmeal, 1 egg and ½ tsp honey. Mix well. Now gently massage the mask onto the face in circular motion. Leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Oatmeal is a rich source of skin nourishing vitamins and minerals. Oatmeal gently cleanses and heals sensitive skin. Banana contains vitamin A and egg contains lecithin which naturally soothes skin. And honey maintains skin’s natural PH balance.

Oatmeal and egg white face mask for sensitive skin

You will need : Uncooked oatmeal, one egg white, honey

Crack open an egg and separate the white and yolk part. Whisk the egg white until it turns little foamy.  Now mix 1 tsp uncooked oatmeal & 1 tsp honey with the egg white. Apply the mask on the face and neck. Let it dry. Clean your face using a cloth soaked in warm water.

This face mask calms sensitive skin as well as hydrates it, along with gentle exfoliating.

Chamomile tree and cornmeal scrub face mask for sensitive skin

You will need : Chamomile tea, milk powder, cornmeal

Prepare some chamomile tea and allow it to cool. Now take 1 tbsp of chamomile tea in a bowl and add 1 tsp milk powder and 1 tsp cornmeal to it. Mix well. Apply on face and leave on for 15 minutes for the scrub to act on face. Rinse out with warm water.

Chamomile tea has great skin soothing ability and it also is super beneficial for treating acne, eczema and other skin rashes

Aloe vera and Cucumber face mask

You will need : aloe vera gel and pureed cucumber

Mix 2 tbsp aloe vera gel with 2 tbsp pureed cucumber. You can replace pureed cucumber with grated cucumber. Apply all over the face. Let it dry and wash off.

Both cucumber and aloe vera are known for their skin soothing qualities. Also cucumber keep the skin hydrated as while aloe vera takes care of the moisture balance of the skin.
