Curd contains high levels of lactic acid which is beneficial to skin and hair care. Using curd for skin and hair dates back to ancient India, when it was used as an effective remedy to get rid of acne and pimples. In fact, Cleopatra from ancient Egypt was known to take yoghurt baths to keep her skin youthful.

Curd Hair Mask RecipesÂ
Curd is a good hair conditioner. If  the growth of growing hair is slow then curd also provides good benefits for healthy and beautiful hair because its contain zinc and lactic acid properties which help stimulate blood circulation. Curd contain protein which provides ample nourishment and strengthening to the hair without making it dull or dry.
Gets rid of dandruff :Â Take a cup full of curd and stir it well to smooth out any curd lumps. Now slather it on your hair scalp and let it be for 1 hour before you wash your hair thoroughly. You can also add a few ground, roasted black pepper corns to curd for an added effect.
Curd reduces hair fall :Â Make a paste of curd and some ground fenugreek seeds. Apply it on the scalp and leave it on for 45 minutes before washing.
Curd for silky hair :Â Blend half cup of curd into a smooth paste and coat the hair with it. Wrap the hair in a towel and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash with your regular shampoo and you will notice the enhanced moisturizing and conditioning effect.
Curd Face Pack Recipes
Curd for glowing Skin : Apply plain curd on your face daily and leave it on for 15 minutes. Curd is rich in lactic acid, a natural alpha hydroxy acid, that helps to improve your complexion and makes it softer and more radiant. It will give you glowing skin for long time also premature wrinkles and age spots too.
Acne :Â Just dab sour curd on the affected acne area and wash off after 15 minutes. Your acne will start diminishing after regular use.
Make a paste of curd with some turmeric powder, sugar and sandalwood powder. Massage the paste on the skin and rinse off with cold water after 15 minutes. it help to fight acne
Scars :Â Apply plain curd which diluted with water. This will not only cool the area but also lighten the blemish because curd contains zinc, which helps lighten blemishes and scar.
Cleanser :Â Curd is a wonderful natural homemade skin cleanser. It can be used to massage and cleanse all skin types.
Tan :Â Mix a tsp of besan with a little curd and apply it on the face.Wash with cool water after 15-20 minutes. It helps to remove tan from skin
Hand and Foot Care with Curd
- Just apply plain curd on foot and hand for 20 minutes and rinse off with water. It just wonder for hand and foot
