Highway is a 2014 Bollywood romance-drama film, directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It stars Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The film will be released worldwide on February 21, 2014. The film will be screened in the Panorama section of the 2014 Berlin International Film Festival.
‘Highway’ is set in six different states and captures the journey of two completely opposite people who are thrown together by fate.
Alia had no qualms in donning a contrasting look and readily accepted the transformation, crafted by ace fashion designer Aki Narula.
The designer has insistently maintained the margins of realism and reasoning for every outfit used in the film Highway. Many clothes were borrowed from the residents of tiny places like Kalpa and Reckong Peo in Himachal Pradesh, where the film was shot. Alia had absolutely no inhibitions and enthusiastically tried all that was suggested.
Alia who plays Veera Tripathi, an abducted teenager starts of her ‘Highway’ journey in track pants and t-shirt and soon settles in for oversize ‘borrowed from the boys’ clothes. The extension of the wardrobe was a natural progression and the Aki Narula has maintained the authenticity by taking care of the minutest details.
Here again no makeup look noticed in movie. In some picture Alia just used kajal and lip balm that’s set.
For this look just want
And just normal and messy hairstyle look
Overall Naturally, the look too had to strip all brands and become liberating en route. So her accessories, clothes and body language had to be de-glamourised. This meant borrowing ill-fitting clothes for her look. and making of movie Alia wear vintage hairpin from Srinagar, wrap a muffler as a turban, slip on over-sized shoes, and carry an antique phulkari shawl.
I can’t stop raving about Alia’s simplicity and charm.
